What is a telehealth counseling office?
A telehealth counseling office does not have a physical office location. Counseling services will be provided via video calls. All communications regarding scheduling will be conducted by phone, text messaging or use of your patient portal through HIPAA compliant electronic health record software, SimplePractice. Quality of care is not impacted due to services being virtual. In fact, it is more convenient as you can attend your therapy sessions without the worry of transportation.
How long is therapy?
Everyone’s journey is different. Your length of time in therapy depends on your willingness to do the work necessary to improve your situation.
Can you prescribe medication?
No, I only provide counseling services.
Do you work with couples?
I do not provide couple’s counseling. However, I do work with clients individually on relationship and intimacy issues.
Can I receive telehealth services anywhere?
One of the major benefits of telehealth counseling services is the convenience clients have to receive therapy in the comfort of their own space without the worry of transportation. Per the Social Work Board regulations, therapy counseling services is restricted to the state where the therapist is licensed in of where the client resides. Your provider is permitted to provide services in the state of New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. All other states are not permitted at this time.
Can you complete my Family & Medical Leave Act form?
Family & Medical Leave Act form is only completed after a client has consistently been attending therapy services for at least 60 days to allow your provider the ability to make a comprehensive clinical assessment to efficiently complete the required documentation appropriately. Additional fees apply.
